I created this soundscape to represent my anxieties during this global pandemic. The purpose of the project is to pick a spot that has meaning for us and how the sounds of this environment create meaning. I picked the backseat of a car because it reminds me of an easier time, a time when I still lived with my family and car rides were a weekly activity. In this soundscape composition, the sounds of the car are the medium that I use to talk about the anxieties and conflicts that covid has had over me and how is it that the quarantine has had a toll on my mental health by separating me from those I love.
